Thanks to VR, we had a chance to try Beer Bistro located in downtown.
Three of us ordered the mussel bowl steamed in beer broth served with loaf of Cantillon Sour Dough.
I could really taste the beer in the broth

The mussels were done just right - it was quite yummy and plentiful for a light dinner.
Belgian White mussel bowl: hoegaarden, garlic, parsley, lemon, cream

The above dish is paired with St. Bernardus Blanche beer. It has a grainy wheat smell and tastes quite smooth and light. It does not smell like the usual beer.
VR ordered the tasting of 3 draught beer. It is interesting to see beer come in different form, smell and taste.

Hog Wild Beer Bread Pizza .. it looks quite yummy

I can't remember the names of all of them but the dark one is the Leffe Brune

I had the Fruli Strawberry because I like fruit-based alcohol

It is imported from Belgium and has 30% pure strawberry juice

It tastes like strawberry daiquiri.
I ordered the Brussels Mussels bowl: affligem, smoked sausage, tomato, hot chilies, fennel, parsley & garlic
I enjoyed it very much. The flavours blended well together.
