  • Billie Jean - The best 20+ year old song

    Michael Jackson Billie Jean

She Was More Like A Beauty Queen From A Movie Scene
I Said Don't Mind, But What Do You Mean I Am The One
Who Will Dance On The Floor In The Round
She Said I Am The One Who Will Dance On The Floor In The Round

    [2nd Verse]
She Told Me Her Name Was Billie Jean, As She Caused A Scene
Then Every Head Turned With Eyes That Dreamed Of Being The One
Who Will Dance On The Floor In The Round

    [Bridge]
People Always Told Me Be Careful Of What You Do
And Don't Go Around Breaking Young Girls' Hearts
And Mother Always Told Me Be Careful Of Who You Love
And Be Careful Of What You Do 'Cause The Lie Becomes The Truth

    [Chorus]
Billie Jean Is Not My Lover
She's Just A Girl Who Claims That I Am The One
But The Kid Is Not My Son
She Says I Am The One, But The Kid Is Not My Son

    [3rd Verse]
For Forty Days And Forty Nights
The Law Was On Her Side
But Who Can Stand When She's In Demand
    Her Schemes And Plans
'Cause We Danced On The Floor In The Round
So Take My Strong Advice, Just Remember To Always Think Twice
    (Do Think Twice)

    [4th Verse]
She Told My Baby That's A Threat
    As She Looked At Me
Then Showed A Photo Of A Baby Cries
    Eyes Would Like Mine
Go On Dance On The Floor In The Round, Baby

    [Bridge]
People Always Told Me Be Careful Of What You Do
And Don't Go Around Breaking Young Girls' Hearts
She Came And Stood Right By Me
Then The Smell Of Sweet Perfume
    This Happened Much Too Soon
She Called Me To Her Room

    [Chorus]
Billie Jean Is Not My Lover
She's Just A Girl Who Claims That I Am The One
But The Kid Is Not My Son
Billie Jean Is Not My Lover
She's Just A Girl Who Claims That I Am The One
But The Kid Is Not My Son
She Says I Am The One, But The Kid Is Not My Son
She Says I Am The One, But The Kid Is Not My Son
Billie Jean Is Not My Lover
She's Just A Girl Who Claims That I Am The One
But The Kid Is Not My Son
She Says I Am The One, But The Kid Is Not My Son
She Says I Am The One, She Says He Is My Son
She Says I Am The One
Billie Jean Is Not My Lover
Billie Jean Is Not My Lover
Billie Jean Is Not My Lover
Billie Jean Is Not My Lover
Billie Jean Is Not My Lover
Billie Jean Is Not My Lover

  • Beautiful Wedding

2009-07-04 marked the end of a journey and a beginning of a new journey for my very good friends Kelvin and CC. They have come a long way to this day having been through critical moments in life. I was very touched to have witnessed this journey and to be in the scenes of seeing their love flourished beautifully. By the number of helpers that were involved in this wedding, one can see that they have touched many people in different ways throughout these seven years. It is definitely through the power of God that has made this day happen. May they continue to be blessed by God. Wishing them a beautiful new journey!

  • Haha...

I didn't know my name is in your thesis until yesterday ... hehe

I am very touched and it's very nice of you.

“Love is patient; love is kind and envies no one.
    Love is never boastful, nor conceited, nor rude;
never selfish, not quick to take offense.
    There is nothing love cannot face;
there is no limit to its faith,
    its hope, and endurance.
In a word, there are three things
    that last forever: faith, hope, and love;
but the greatest of them all is love.” Corinthians 13 : 4 - 8

  • For CC's bachelorette party, we went for manicure&martini at Fuzion. There were one aesthetician, one manicurist and one massage person. We had martinis, some snacks while we were getting our hands pampered The treatment was quite fun because they made good and funny conversations with us girls. We had a choice of clear or pale pink polish. For this part, we kind of expected to have more colours to choose from - maybe pink to match our pink theme. We then went to dinner at Le Petit Dejeuner. It is a small and cozy restaurant. The service is not particularly fast but it was good service. There is a Prix Fix menu for $20 for dinner along with their regular menu.

    Appetizer

    1. Mesculin Mix with pompadum shell. I like pompadum.

    2. Broccoli soup with challah toast.
    This one looks pretty good.

    3. Beef croquettes with belgian style potatoe salad.
This was my appetizer. The croquettes are crispy on the outside and melty in the inside. Quite good. I like the shredded potatoe to go with the salad.

    Entree

    1. Rabbit terrine with nuts and apple
I didn't know that terrine actually means pate. I expected to be a piece of rabbit meat It tastes a lot like pate and the nuts give it a mix of texture. I am not sure if I taste any rabbit in there The apple sidedish was good. The fries was yummy too but I dare not to eat the entire bowl to add the extra calories before CC's wedding.

    2. Lamb and pork meatloaf with spaghetti
The spaghetti looks like its whole wheat.

    3. Grilled trout with spaghetti

Duck confit with frites and pompadum.
This dish is from the regular menu.

A special chai creme brulee for CC's dessert.

  • Vacation Highlights

Special Note: I had a really good time during my vacation because my cousins were super thoughtful in keeping me company throughout my days in HK. Their love for me and our bond with each other are priceless. The best things in the world truly and naturally just comes from the heart without anything to be exchanged in return except love. I thank them for keeping our bond strong even if we just see each other at max once a year. This is the best souvenir and memory I have from my vacation.

First day we arrived in HKG, we had dinner at grandma's house. Her food is always the best. This is one of her signature dish - preserved vegetable with pig stomach 咸菜豬肚湯

APM and its nice decoration for Easter

Gotta love the ice cream flavours in HK. My favourite popsicle 鳳 仙, 竽頭 ice cream mochi, also I got to try Mango Apple ice cream

A day in Hangzhou. Beautiful scenery as always.

Lots of carp at 花 港 觀 魚. Very vibrant colours of fish and flowers.

The calm water from the West Lake.

In a boat ride looking at the Six Harmony Pagoda

White peacock that is always fanning out its feather for tourist attention
The sound of a peacock is very strange ... very loud and attention grabbing.

The peony at 花 港 觀 魚. In Hangzhou, Suzhou and Wuxi, this colour of flower is planted all over the cities.

At 西湖新 天地, there is a myth that a golden buffalo once appeared there.

We went to a 龍井 茶 farm where the presenter did an experiment to show that tea is able to help digestion and breakdown carbohydrate. The colour of carbohydrate is brown in colour and after pouring the tea in the solution, it became clear... Not sure if it is a true representation of what goes on in our stomachs

At 烏鎮 - this is like a Chinese Venice where people live in the water village. The water is polluted now but the residents still use it to water and cook o_o

    無錫
the home of the clay teapot 紫砂茶壺

    蘇州 - 寒山歭

The silver lining in the groove of the shingles are coins that people throw on there for fun. Occasionally, the coins fall on the ground and the cleaning staff would pick them up and put it in their pockets.

Sunset in Suzhou along the major river that 康熙 traveled when he went to 江南

大阿二生煎包 $7 RMB for 8 !!! It was super yummy. Juicy inside with a thin crust on the outside!

Shanghai braised pork wrapped with 棕葉. Nice flavour!

A bigger version for sale for about 25 to 40 RMB

Shanghainese and their 棕子. About 5 RMB for 4 rice dumplings.

Shanghai city core on the way to the Bund

Shanghai 新 天地 - like the HK Lan Kwai Fong but in a smaller and confined space. Commodities in Shanghai are priced like most major world cities now.

Night view of the Bund in Shanghai.

南京步行街 - many stores there are similar to what you see in HK

Shanghai appetizers as part of the breakfast in the hotel.
I like their jelly-ham cold cut and the cold tofu dish.

Looking outside the hotel in Shanghai - a mix of modernity and old style living

Grave of Sung Hing Ling - beside it is a tourist trap to buy 天禄 - a lucky charm for Shanghai people

Peace hotel in Shanghai - a rainy day

Crab meat soup filled dumplings at 城隍廟.

I highly do NOT recommend waiting for the soup filled dumplings there. It does not taste good at all and when you bite into it, the meat is like a meatball in there. It is worst than frozen dumplings. The ones in HK or Canada is much better than what you can get in this Shanghai tourist trap. I consider myself lucky to have better options elsewhere

Back to HK for Pizza Hut. Seafood and chicken sesame crusted pizza. Very yummy !

Curry clams at Kowloon City at Little Bangkok

    Red bean cake at 花園街
    - super fresh, hot, and delicious and not too sweet

The phone that I helped work on two xmas ago! Please support and try the LG KM900 phone!

A beautiful day at Ocean Park.

    "Sealed" with a kiss

Jelly fish exhibition at Ocean Park - they are very weird creatures

A full house watching the dolphin show at Ocean Park

Cable ride going to the other side of the Park

Kung fu pandas! Holy Shit-take mushroom

Pandas are very lazy animals. They just sit all day to eat bamboo leaves and sleeps

  • Beer Bistro

Thanks to VR, we had a chance to try Beer Bistro located in downtown.

Three of us ordered the mussel bowl steamed in beer broth served with loaf of Cantillon Sour Dough.

I could really taste the beer in the broth The mussels were done just right - it was quite yummy and plentiful for a light dinner.

Belgian White mussel bowl: hoegaarden, garlic, parsley, lemon, cream

The above dish is paired with St. Bernardus Blanche beer. It has a grainy wheat smell and tastes quite smooth and light. It does not smell like the usual beer.

VR ordered the tasting of 3 draught beer. It is interesting to see beer come in different form, smell and taste.

Hog Wild Beer Bread Pizza .. it looks quite yummy

I can't remember the names of all of them but the dark one is the Leffe Brune

I had the Fruli Strawberry because I like fruit-based alcohol It is imported from Belgium and has 30% pure strawberry juice It tastes like strawberry daiquiri.

I ordered the Brussels Mussels bowl: affligem, smoked sausage, tomato, hot chilies, fennel, parsley & garlic

I enjoyed it very much. The flavours blended well together.

  • Yummy Pizza

My had some really nice pizza at a company lunch... so we decided to go for lunch there and checked it out ..

I am not a real pizza lover myself because I always found pizza too filling with the cheese and thick bread crust.

After today's really yummy lunch at Pizzaiolo, I changed my mind about pizza.

The toppings were filled up all the way to the edge of the pizza and the thickness of the crust was just right. It was a good balance between the toppings and the bread.

The flavours of the Thai Pie blended well together .. Peanut Satay, Mozzarella, Red Onions, BBQ Chicken and Mushrooms, Spicy BBQ Sauce... mmmm

If you ever feel like having pizza, try http://www.pizzaiolo.ca
